About 18 years ago, we bought a home built in 1902. It was a definite project house and we spent the next 12 years painstakingly restoring it to its former glory. In that time, we took on an endless array of projects from stripping old wallpaper, painting and putting up new walls to remodeling bathrooms, kitchen, and refinishing hardwood floors, refurbishing mouldings to their original woodwork and even some landscaping projects. In the end, we lived in a home which had our heart and soul as a part of its unique history.
We are sharply familiar with how much love and care goes into living in and maintaining one of these antique jewels! In fact, it was as a result of my thorough enjoyment in the daily maintenance and cleaning of my own antique home which led me to assisting others in the care of their homes. Sadly, in 2011 we had to leave our treasured home behind when we relocated to the Boulder, CO area for Grad school. It is now our greatest pleasure to have the opportunity to still play a part in the continued existence of these homes in our own small way.
We can surely relate to those who have the privilege of living in one of these special homes and your possible reluctance in calling on someone outside the home to help with maintenance services. You want to preserve the integrity of the home as well as the devoted work you may have poured into it. We have a great love and respect of these old homes and take great pride in our part in protecting their special features and helping them to live on for generations to come.
That is why having someone who understand the needs of a home such as this is a must. With our experience and love for classic architecture, you can rest assured your home will be in professional hands and receiving our most tender, loving care. As you browse the rest of our website, you will learn that we only use the gentlest green products, which is especially important with an older home. Because each home is unique in its architecture as well as its needs, we will come up with a plan together of the best approach to keeping your home and its features at their grandest.
